Projection of scenarios as a perspective for the environmental planning: conceptual study

Abstract

The projection of scenarios is an instrument for forecasting territorial evolution and spatial propositions for environmental planning. Through geoecology landscapes, it is possible to develop a systemic and complex vision, in order to diagnose the interrelationships between society and nature in different space-geographic scales. The article in question aims to offer the concepts fundamental and methodological possibilities in the process of building propositional scenarios applied in master plans that target the establishment of future territorial designs, from the perspective of  socio environmental sustainability. The steps to be taken until reaching the, such as the technical propositions, the implementation of public policies, the elaboration of functional zoning, the institution of management strategies are specified until the establishment of intended scenarios in the different dimensions and territorial realities.
