//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1069

Sustainable urban mobility represents a conscious and environmentally beneficial alternative that is gaining traction in large cities. This study aimed to analyze the cycling routes in the city of Presidente Prudente, SP, with a focus on the role of urban planning. The research was conducted as applied, exploratory research with a qualitative approach, using unsystematic observation techniques. Findings indicate that the cycling routes face several obstacles along their paths, leading to incidents. Legal requirements concerning the implementation of cycle paths, integration with other modes of transportation, and road safety were not fully addressed. The study did not fully address legal requirements concerning cycle path implementation, integration with other transportation modes, and road safety.
Mércia Regina Gonçalves dos Santos BarrettoMaira Rodrigues UlianaSergio Marques CostaAlba Regina Azevedo Arana

//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1056

In light of the need to establish planting systems aligned with current socio-environmental concerns, agroecological and organic farming models emerge as viable alternatives. Based on this premise, the objective of this study is to survey the organic and agroecological farming practices that exist in the immediate region of Cornélio Procópio-Bandeirantes, located in the state of Paraná. To achieve this, the methodological procedures adopted in this research included a literature review on the topics; secondary data collection from government agencies; and fieldwork in the municipality of Uraí/PR. From this, it was observed that, despite being a region strongly influenced by intensive agriculture—focused on the production of commodities and monocultures—there is a significant portion of small and medium-sized producers striving to base their production systems on models that consider the preservation of agroecosystems and take socio-environmental issues into account. Among the surveyed municipalities, Uraí/PR had the highest number of certified organic producers, and this information made it possible to understand both the potential and vulnerabilities of the production process.
Camila de Souza PereiraVanessa Maria LudkaSérgio Augusto Pereira

//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1093

To analyse the process of coastal urbanisation involves the approach of multiple processes of territorialisation and their socio-environmental impacts. In the case of the brazilian northeast, and more specifically the coast of Ceará, tourism policies and the respective investments in infrastructure have increased investor's impulse to territorialise the coast through real estate-tourism complexes, a dynamic that is often at odds with laws and criteria for socio-environmental protection. The research investigates the role of the real estate-tourism market in the territorialisation of the coastline of the municipality of Paraipaba/CE, in the case of the Hard Rock Hotel Fortaleza. To this end, it draws on bibliography on the subject, secondary data on tourism and property dynamics, as well as field visits carried out between 2015 and 2024 in order to understand the processes and dynamics relating to this enterprise. It is understood that the allocation of such complexes involves factors that involve financial strategies, the relaxation of environmental laws, urban planning dynamics and impacts on resident populations, all of which hinder the discourse in favour of the installation of these objects on the seafront.
Tiago da Silva CastroNayrisson de Jesus Prado da SilvaJosé Almir Ramos Maia Filho

//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1057

Higher education in Brazil has undergone significant changes, both in terms of expansion to inland areas of the country and through the creation of affirmative actions, with quota policies. The objective of this study is to analyze the access of the black population to higher education in the country after the implementation of the Racial Quota Law, highlighting the municipalities that offer institutions with this level of education. Thus, basic works were used for the intended discussions in order to portray the social contexts to which the black population has been and is subjected. Secondary data from the Demographic Census on the distribution of the population according to race of students enrolled and graduating in higher education courses and of the Federation Units were used. Public educational policies allow greater inclusion of the black population in higher education institutions, although access by the black population to higher education is still limited, compared to the white population, and challenges persist in the retention of these students in higher education institutions, enabling changes in the existing scenario in these institutions.
Rodrigo Emanoel de Sousa AlmeidaPedro Henrique Bezerra de FariasÊnio Nércio de Lima Silva

//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1078

Zonning has been understood as a tool capable of guiding actions for environmental or territorial planning. In the case of landscape zoning, which is based on the representation of geosystems and reveals the structural and functional characteristics of landscapes, it is possible to promote proposals for zones suitable for tourism development, nature conservation, or the use of natural resources. Thus, the landscape is considered an appropriate approach to reflect on the organization of tourism, moving beyond the strictly aesthetic notion and the character of a tourism product to become relevant for decisions based on the recognition of its diversity. This article aims to present a proposal for the tourism zoning of Cerrado landscapes, based on an integrated assessment and a tourism inventory, aiming to establish parameters for areas favorable or unfavorable to tourism activities. The main technical resource used in the proposal was geoinformation, particularly through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cartographic synthesis. The zoning indicated the segmentation of the municipality into two immediate macrozones for tourism development: the Tourist Attraction Macrozones (ZAT) and the Tourism Interest Macrozones (ZIT), in addition to the zones that make up the Environmental Protection Macrozones (ZPA), which are relevant for the creation of protected areas.
Adalto Moreira BrazIvanilton José de OliveiraLucas Costa de Souza CavalcantiEduardo Salinas Chávez

//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1053

The years 2020 and 2021 have seen an epidemiological crisis on a global scale, known as Covid-19, which has led to the establishment of certain health measures that have led to a re-signification of the world of work, production and representations. In the educational field, it meant the adoption of remote teaching. Thus, from this context, this article aims to understand the context of the adoption of remote teaching by the IFPA Marabá Rural Campus in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. The methodology used was a literature review, documentary research and field research. The results show that the IFPA Marabá Rural Campus operates based on the principles of rural education, primarily serving rural, water and forest populations. Therefore, the adoption of remote teaching, despite being planned in progressive phases, is a challenge for the Campus' subjects, mainly due to the conditions of digital inclusion or exclusion.
Leildes Alves dos Santos Silva

//rcgs.uvanet.br/index.php/RCGS/article/view/1054

This article presents the cross-border relations between Brazil and French Guiana, focusing on sustainable forest management. Based on field visits conducted in 2023 and 2024, the study discusses the social and environmental dynamics shaping interactions between the twin cities of Oiapoque (Brazil) and Saint George de l’Oiapock (France). Forest management is addressed as a strategic practice to mitigate environmental impacts in the Amazon region, which faces pressures from both development and conservation. The text also reflects on the implications of COP 30, a crucial event in the international climate agenda. The challenges and opportunities of cross-border trade, especially of forest products, and the migratory tensions affecting the integration between the two territories are analyzed. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of cooperation between Brazil and France for the development of sustainable borders, promoting environmental protection and local economic growth.

Keywords: Sustainable borders.
