Use and coverage of Rio Branco Park, Boa Vista-RR (2010-2023)

Abstract

This article presents the changes that occurred in the area of ​​the Rio Branco Park (PRB) located in the São Vicente neighborhood in the south zone of the city of Boa Vista-RR that were due to anthropic and temporal actions in the area. The changes are analyzed through the maps of use and coverage in the interstice from 2010 to 2023 and from this bias it was possible to describe the changes that occurred in the elements that make up the area in accordance with the Soil, Geomorphology, Vegetation and Hydrography that also influence the micro-climate. The methodology is based on presenting the physiography of the state of Roraima and focusing on the physiography of the Rio Branco Park through a survey of information from primary data and secondary data obtained from official agencies (IBGE, MMA) that contributed to the basis of data collection and define the methodology in integrative analysis of the landscape. Based on the data collected, maps of the use and coverage of the park area were prepared and analyzed for the periods 2010-2018-2023, reporting the changes that occurred before, during and after its implementation, and also presenting data with the help of graphs in hectares and percentages.
