THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE WEATHER AND THE “MONÓLITOS” INSELBERGS OF THE CITY OF QUIXADÁ – CE, BRAZIL

Abstract

This work approaches about the relationship between the weather of the city of Quixadá - CE and the influence of inselbergs. It aims to analyze the spatial distribution of local parameters of air temperature and air relative humidity as well as contribute to researches related to weather studies in small cities in the semi-arid northeastern context, focusing on different characteristics of land use and occupation. These characteristics, associated with the process of urbanization of small urban centers, can contribute to the more vulnerable population being more susceptible to situations of thermal discomfort. Based on the assumptions of Monteiro (1976) and Amorim (2020) a field work was carried out with data collection through the installation of dataloggers, housed in five fixed points for 12 hours during February 18th, 2022 (rainy season).  With that, graphs were created that made it possible to identify different parameters of temperature and humidity in different collection points. Therefore, we can verify that the weather of the city of Quixadá presented microclimatic variations, identifying differences in the temperature and relative humidity of the air in the PCD's installed in different geourban and geoenvironmental environments.
