Socio-spatial inequalities in the city of Apodi/RN

Abstract

This work presents an analysis of a socio-spatial structure in the city of Apodi, a city in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte that is located in the division with the state of Ceará, emphasizing the existing socio-spatial inequalities. The socio-spatial inequalities in the urban space of Apodi- became more visible after the transformations that took place from the action of the producing agents. These changes made it possible for urban space to produce and deepen unequal spaces, where they progress in facilitation. Among the changes that have taken place is the recent urban growth and the urbanization process. The general objective of this work is analyzed as areas of socio-spatial inequalities in the city of Apodi. For this, a theoretical framework was prepared on the process of urban space formation and a historical review was carried out on Apodi's resources, structure and structure.
