Abstract

Zonning has been understood as a tool capable of guiding actions for environmental or territorial planning. In the case of landscape zoning, which is based on the representation of geosystems and reveals the structural and functional characteristics of landscapes, it is possible to promote proposals for zones suitable for tourism development, nature conservation, or the use of natural resources. Thus, the landscape is considered an appropriate approach to reflect on the organization of tourism, moving beyond the strictly aesthetic notion and the character of a tourism product to become relevant for decisions based on the recognition of its diversity. This article aims to present a proposal for the tourism zoning of Cerrado landscapes, based on an integrated assessment and a tourism inventory, aiming to establish parameters for areas favorable or unfavorable to tourism activities. The main technical resource used in the proposal was geoinformation, particularly through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cartographic synthesis. The zoning indicated the segmentation of the municipality into two immediate macrozones for tourism development: the Tourist Attraction Macrozones (ZAT) and the Tourism Interest Macrozones (ZIT), in addition to the zones that make up the Environmental Protection Macrozones (ZPA), which are relevant for the creation of protected areas.
