Abstract

This article aims to propose a reflection of the importance of the concept of landscape in the teaching of Geography, in classes of the sixth elementary year, based on the performance of interviews. The referred reflection was used as methodology, the bibliographical research, as well as, and the field research, with the methodological procedure of interview. In the course of the research we sought a reflection of the concept of landscape and its approach in various historical contexts. The results were satisfactory and demonstrated the importance of the study of the landscape, for the understanding of reality and the awakening of a critical view about thes ocio-spatial geographical space of the students of the 6th grade of elementary school.
