Abstract

Field lessons are a didactic tool essential to Geography Education with great potential for interdisciplinary integration. It provides an observation and analysis of the lived place, narrowing the gap between scientific concepts and the reality lived by students. This work aimed to propose a methodology for the field practices in Geography and interdisciplinary teaching. Through bibliographic review and successful experiences, essential criteria for a production realization were highlighted, aiming to supply the lack of materials to assist the documents in the planning of field lessons. With this, the text presents as stages for the realization of a field class and some modalities of the practice based on the didactic function that it presents. In addition, it emphasizes the matter of methodology in both basic education and higher one, since they make geographic content more attractive. It is necessary to emphasize that interdisciplinary approach to field lessons minimizes the artificial dichotomy of knowledge providing a vision of the whole based on practical reality.
