Analysis of existing environmental systems in the area of direct influence of the malcozinhado river in Cascavel/CE

Abstract

Throughout the territory of Ceará, there are several production activities carried out on the surface, highlighting the recreational and tourist use that exists on the various beaches of Ceará, but with great negative influences on the environment of the plain. This work aimed to analyze, map and classify the existing environmental systems in the Malcozinhado river area in Cascavel/CE, Brazil. In recent years, the municipality has shown a high tourist growth, bringing consequences such as strong human pressure on natural resources, thus justifying the need to identify the most environmentally vulnerable areas to population density. In this way, the geoenvironmental characterization was carried out, creating maps of geology, geomorphology and finally the environmental systems of Cascavel, on a scale of 1:48,000, using the use of geosystemic theory and remote sensing products, geoprocessing, cartographic data and fieldwork. Finally, the classification, delimitation and definition of the present environmental systems were made. The relevance of the study and the area with its functional dynamics positively and negatively impact the region. With this, it is essential to pay attention to the preservation of beaches in order to contribute to a more sustainable awareness and understanding of the maintenance of the environment.
