Abstract

The Immediate Geographic Region of Delmiro Gouveia, Alagoas State, is a reflection of the Brazilian agrarian question, where the land becomes a mechanism for the reproduction of capital. This article aims to analyze the process of spatialization of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) in the Immediate Geographical Region of Delmiro Gouveia, as the birthplace of this social movement in the state of Alagoas, understanding the specifics of the method and forms of spatialization. As methodological procedures, we carried out a conceptual overview around the concepts of the theme such as spatial organization, space, territory and social movements, finally, the research was based on understanding the process of spatialization of the MST in the state of Alagoas from the analysis of writings and works on the subject, having as reference and starting point the Immediate Geographic Region of Delmiro Gouveia.
