Abstract

The concentration of land, in Brazil, in times of pandemic caused by the coronavirus, highlights the agri-food model supported by large corporations, which promotes diseases and food that do not have the local population as a starting point, but the need for the market. In this sense, the present study seeks to analyze agribusiness as a generator of (un) confidence with regard to food production, especially, at the time of COVID-19 when there is ample production to serve the foreign market and, at the same time , decrease in food followed by high prices for basic necessities. To achieve the proposed objective, a methodological path was traced, from bibliographic research to consultation of documents related to the subject. From the data and information collected, it was possible to understand that the supply crisis at the moment we are experiencing, it is linked to the worldwide option to transform agriculture into a business that, on the one hand, guarantees an improvement in the economy and prevents a fall in the Gross National Product, on the other hand, excludes male and female workers from access to food.
