DA UTOPIA DAS CIDADES AO SIMULACRO DO MUNDO REAL: A FILANTROPIA EM QUESTÃO

Resumo

Este trabalho tem por objetivo discutir algumas questões relaci-onadas ao projeto filantrópico “Cidade dos Meninos”, que, instalado em Ribeirão das Neves, um dos municípios mais pobres da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte-MG, acolhe milhares de jovens de ambos os sexos para que possam experimentar a vida em regime de internato em tempo integral. Para isto, estes jovens abdicam da vida urbana do município e se inserem em outra dinâmica cotidiana. Passam a se preparar para o mercado de trabalho no vigor da juventude e retornam às suas residências apenas nos finais de semana. Diversos trabalhadores que ajudam na organização da instituição assistencialista também vivem e moram em regime de isolamento da cidade real. O enclausuramento se apresenta como um ganho. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com aplicação de questionários e técnicas de observação participante, mostrou nos seus resultados finais que a vida aparentemente resguardada dos conflitos da cidade cria outras subversões da ordem instituída socialmente. Ressalta ainda o poder das instituições filantrópicas na organização comportamental das classes mais desprovidas economicamente.

Abstract

This work aims to discuss some issues related to philanthropic project "City of Boys", which, installed in Ribeirão das Neves, one of the poorest municipalities of the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte-MG, it receives thousands of young women and men so that they can experience life in a system boarding school full time. For this, these young people give up urban life of the city and fall into another dynamic daily. they prepare for the labor market in the force of youth and return to their homes only on weekends. Several workers who help the organization the supporting institution also live and reside in isolation from the real city. The Encapsulation as a profit.A research was developed with application of questionnaires and techniques of participant observation, their results showed that life apparently protected the conflicts of the city, create other subversions the order established socially. Also emphasized the power of philanthropic institutions in the organization of behavioral classes most economically deprived.
