Abstract

Occupation fronts and boosting productive activities in the Amazon, rental advantages and infrastructure installation, are examples that have been configuring and building new territories and causing new environmental problems and emerging territorial impacts in this part of the country - which makes up about 60% of Brazil. One of the icons of this context is the Transamazon Federal Highway/BR-230, as a necessary infrastructure the territorial consolidation by the State and large corporations of the capital. There is a result, several developments in space and territory, which go beyond local reconfigurations, triggering and reaching regional territorial and environmental impacts, which here and there, ratify the Amazon as the locus of expanded reproduction of capital in Brazil, in the 21st century, in the search for bases and sectors of the concreteness of the national and global productive capital. This is what the text deals with.
