Abstract

This research describes the main theoretical contributions related to the spatial circuits of production and cooperation circles through an in-depth bibliographic survey, considering the classic and contemporary authors concerned with the proposed theme: Santos (1979, 1986, 1997, 2000), Moraes (1985), Arroyo (2006), Joly (2007), Silveira (2009), Castillo e Frederico (2010), Botelho (2010), Bomtempo (2011), Antas Jr. (2014), Azevedo (2015) e Dantas (2016). This work also analyzed the cross-cutting concepts about the theme, such as the circulation, mobility, speed, and propagation of material and immaterial flows. To understand these concepts, it is necessary to characterize the social and spatial division of labor, the linkages, the networks, and the socio-spatial transformations comprising the multiple scales of geographic analysis.
