Abstract

The article presents a synthesis of the results obtained in the master's thesis, which studies the transformations of the urban space of Aprazível after the arrival of a confection fair in 2001, aiming to understand the dynamics of the fair and to know the relevant aspects of the officialization of this and the forms of marketing adopted by the Associação dos Feirantes de Aprazível (AFA). The methodological procedures were based on a bibliographic survey; observation and contact with processes and actors; conducting interviews and applying questionnaires, revealing that the fair's officialization takes place through its recognition by the Municipality of Sobral and the creation of the AFA, an entity that, in addition to taking care of the structure, is responsible for advertising instruments, praising local commerce and, consequently, the district.
