A experiência foi compartilhada entre os pesquisadores e dois agentes sociais escolhidos durante o trabalho de campo: os canoeiros e as lavadeiras. Aqui se analisa o registrar das “artes de fazer” (CERTEAU, 1994), o dia-a-dia destes moradores da cidade que criam seu espaço de forma independente e, ao mesmo tempo, complementar aos modelos tecnocráticos de intervenção e planejamento do espaço urbano. Procurou-se descrever e analisar a construção de práticas cotidianas relativas aos usos do corpo, relações de sociabilidade e trabalho no urbano, apontando para os contrastes e tensões presente na definição de uma cultura peculiar ao meio citadino.</p> <p>Palavras-chave: espaço urbano. Homem comum.</p><p> </p> <p>THE MIRROR OF THE WATERS: CROSSINGS, MODIFICATIONS AND SOCIABILITY IN ACARAU RIVER, IN SOBRAL-CE</p> <p>Abstract</p> <p>This article presents an ethnographic experience lived by the researchers during the research titled as “The told city: daily practices and arts to construct the life in the urban medium of Sobral”. That experience was shared between the researchers and two social agents, chosen during the fieldwork: the boatmen and the laundrywomen. Here is analyzed the register of the “arts to make” (CERTEAU, 1994), the day-by-day of these inhabitants of the city who create its space in an independent and, at the same time, complementary form to the technocratic models of intervention and planning of the urban space. On tried to analyze the construction of daily practices relative to the body uses, relations of sociability and work in the urban area, pointing to the contrasts and tensions present in the definition of a culture peculiar to the city dweller.</p> <p>Keywords: Urban space.
